Established in the year 2001, Shivgram Education Society’s Shree Rayeshwar Institute of Engineering & Information Technology (RIT) is a budding college affiliated to Goa University. It aims at molding young students into efficient Engineers and Technocrats with high values & integrity. The college is a realization of the dream that was envisaged and nurtured by it’s chairman, Mr. Subhash Shirodkar, former minister for education.

The college has all the infrastructural facilities & it adheres to all the norms laid down by AICTE. It is constantly reviewing and upgrading its learning resources such as the library, software, laboratories, workshops and other facilities. Apart from maintaining a full-time academic staff, the college also holds seminars and lectures by renowned resource persons to keep abreast of the latest advancements in science and technology. All computers in the college are networked through LAN. The labs are accessible 24 hrs a day both to students and staff.

RIT has taken the initiative in setting up the The “Industry-Institute Partnership” cell. As the first step in this direction the cell has already managed to establish vital links with IT majors such as Reliance Infocomm, Tata Infotech, D-Link India, Control Net, and Siemens etc.
with the feel-good factor once again having set into the IT industry, RIT expects this list to expand in time. RIT believes in partnerships that will help us contribute and more importantly seek knowledge. As such, RIT is already engaged in fruitful tie-ups with leading academic and research institutes like COEP Pune, the NIO, KRESIT, IIT-Bombay, just to mention a few. And the list is growing.
